Logo SIP System Integration Platform

The Cloud-Native Integration Platform with Open Source Framework

Integrate systems in a low impact, highly scalable way

With the integration knowledge of IKOR cast in code

Integration needs a place, we have found it: IKOR's proprietary development System Integration Platform (SIP) integrates software products into existing application landscapes in a standardized manner: structured, stable and scalable, connecting all systems involved in a technology-agnostic manner. Specialist departments can significantly reduce their risks with SIP and flexibly implement their processes end-to-end across system boundaries.

Core Functions and Assets

The extensive experience from numerous integration projects has flowed into IKOR’s SIP development

Standardized integration

Core and peripheral systems in existing application landscapes.

Decoupled

Integration adaptors ensure that systems are functionally and technically decoupled.

More efficiency

Vertically and horizontally scalable microservice integration architecture.

System agnostic

All related systems connected to a range of technologies - core systems to sales tools.

Distributed integration logic managed from a central point

The platform centrally controls the distributed integration solutions. A user interface (UI) helps IT organizations visualize, manage, monitor and customize integration flows.

Open source

The SIP core is open-source framework. Based on Apache Camel, Spring Boot and our software architecture, it provides a structure for unified microservices with high flexibility.

More flexibility, less dependencies

SIP makes proprietary, heavyweight integration tools obsolete. Users always retain control of their integration solution.

Ready-made integration adapters: Tested and proven

IKOR has developed more than 80 integration adaptors based on SIP. Customers can use the integration know-how cast in adaptors directly as a premium feature within an adaptor library.

Open-source Framework

The SIP architecture approach allows the integration logic to be encapsulated and decoupled from the business logic. The same scenarios can be implemented uniformly across company boundaries. The framework improves system extensibility (e.g., in adaptor development) and maintainability of all assets.

You can download the framework here via GitHub open-source: https://github.com/IKOR-GmbH/sip-framework

SIP Cloud Platform

The platform can be deployed in different, customer-specific target infrastructures as a fully comprehensive integration solution. Its development and operating platform bundles the logic of all systems to be integrated with integration adapters (SIA) system-agnostically.
Additional features, such as the graphical user interface, centralize the independent integration adapters and thus reduce the complexity of your integration solution.
The SIP Cloud Platform is available in different delivery models. It can be operated in a cloud, on-premises, or hybrid. IKOR supports the delivery and operation of each model with managed services.

Adaptor Library

The System Integration Adaptors (SIA) can be operated independently - with a dedicated functional responsibility per adaptor. The growing Adaptor Library offers SIP users access to proven adaptor solutions and thus to the deep expertise of a broad community.

Key Benefits

Future-proof cloud-native tech stack

  • Processing of high data and transaction volumes
  • Logical hub or microservice architecture
  • Open-source standards improve future viability
  • Decoupling of the systems to be integrated and location of the integration logic
  • Process optimization: SIP as a partner in process digitalization
  • Reduced IT resource demands
  • Arbitrarily scalable
  • SIP based on standards

Stable, secure and plannable

  • Fewer integration defects and faster troubleshooting
  • Vertical and horizontal scaling
  • SIP supports different deployment models
  • Standard best practices optimize implementation of integration scenarios
  • SIP supports parallel interface versions and all common integration patterns per system and direction

Flexible

  • SIP is technology agnostic: it does not depend on individual manufacturers
  • Core system and surrounding systems do not have to be "bent" for integration
  • Stable, customizable SIP framework makes enterprises highly flexible

Budget friendly with high value

  • Ready-to-use standards and adaptor library reduce costs
  • Adaptor concept accelerates prototyping, development and operation
  • Unified, stable, efficient framework and microservice approach improves maintainability, scalability, development and operations effort

Lightweight

  • Necessary integration without overhead
  • No database required
  • Minimalist IT landscape possible
  • Lean fast project implementation instead of a powerful product launch

Secure investment

  • The open-source technologies used enable you to develop independently in the long term
  • As part of the open-source community, you gain insight into the integration standards of today and tomorrow
  • As part of the open-source community, you gain insight into the integration standards of today and tomorrow

Benefits of SIP Cloud and On-Premises

Central control and monitoring

  • The central administration interface displays the status of all adapter instances on a graphical dashboard.

  • View adapter-dependent integration scenarios, interaction history (success and error rates), metrics, and health information

  • Graphical overview of usage and utilization metrics

  • Control (pause, resume) of individual integration routes or entire adapter instances possible

Stable through test automation

  • Creation of test cases in a particular SIP format

  • An integrated test framework can read in test cases and verify adapter correctness against specified test scenarios.

  • Automated regression tests can be coupled to the adapter and executed as part of the build process.

  • Test cases can be either:
    • started from the administration interface or
    • executed via an interface in running adapter instances
